Bringing the information a salesperson needs into one workspace.
Salespeople often spend too much time switching between systems to prepare for a call, update records and understand what happened previously. I built a connected dialler workspace to bring CRM context, calling and useful AI-generated insights closer together.
Live interface01 / The challenge
The sales workflow involved moving between two or three systems. Relevant information could be spread across Salesforce, the calling platform and other tools. Even straightforward tasks could require unnecessary switching and repeated manual steps.
I wanted to explore what a more connected, context-rich calling experience could look like.
02 / My involvement
I conceived and built the application independently in approximately three weeks. The 3CX team helped with the telephony and platform configuration, but the workspace itself was my build. It has successfully connected to 3CX and completed test calls. At this stage it remains in testing, with a limited sales pilot planned.
03 / What works in the current test build
A central view of lead information, with the ability to edit relevant Salesforce fields directly from the interface.
Integrated calling functionality reduces the need to move away from the workspace to place a call.
Lead summaries and previous-call summaries help users understand the history of a conversation before contacting someone.
The workspace surfaces previous call counts and likely answer times, giving salespeople more context about contact attempts.
AI-assisted area intelligence and coaching tips provide additional context for the conversation.
04 / What is planned — not yet live
Future development ideas include live transcription, real-time coaching suggestions and proposed Salesforce field updates that a user can review and confirm. These features should be labelled planned, not presented as working capabilities.
05 / Current outcome
The prototype demonstrates that 3CX calling, Salesforce context and AI-assisted information can be brought together into one workflow. Test calls have been successful, but the tool has not yet been rolled out broadly and there are no verified productivity results to report.
06 / What I learned
A useful internal tool often starts with a very ordinary frustration: too many tabs, too much duplicated effort and information in the wrong place. This project was about reducing that friction while respecting the complexity of telephony integrations and the need to validate a workflow before wider deployment.
