About Mat McCorry
Building businesses that work better.
Hi, I'm Mat McCorry, a Marketing Director with over 13 years of experience working across both in-house and agency environments. My background spans digital marketing, commercial strategy and business transformation, with a particular interest in improving business processes, removing bottlenecks and finding smarter ways of working.
I started my career working across different areas of digital marketing before specialising in SEO and eventually progressing into senior leadership. Over time, my focus has expanded beyond traditional marketing into the technology, automation and systems that help businesses operate more efficiently and perform better commercially.
What really makes me tick is understanding how a business works, identifying what's holding it back and finding practical ways to improve it. Sometimes that's developing an entirely new marketing strategy or analysing the full customer journey to uncover opportunities. Other times, it's designing and introducing company-wide platforms that simplify processes, reduce manual work and improve visibility across the business.
More recently, I've become particularly interested in how AI and modern development tools are changing what's possible. They've enabled me to take ideas from concept to working solutions far more quickly and cost-effectively, often tackling challenges that would previously have required significant development resources. Rather than simply identifying problems and proposing solutions, I enjoy getting hands-on and building the technology to solve them.
So, while my title is Marketing Director, my approach is much broader. I'm commercially minded, naturally curious about technology and constantly looking for opportunities to make businesses work smarter, faster and more effectively.
